Eye Exams and Providing Eye Glasses
In 2024, The Naina Project offered free vision testing and eyeglasses made with lenses tailored to the prescriptions of students in grades nine through twelve to students studying at the Mission Inter College in Ranikhet, Uttarakhand. Poor vision can severely affect the quality of a child's education and overall well-being, so we collaborated with local schools and opticians to ensure high school students received comprehensive eye exams and eyeglasses for those who showed signs of vision impairment such as myopia. Students' ability to learn was enhanced significantly by their new eyeglasses, allowing them to better engage in learning and participate in class. This initiative not only improved students' vision but also fostered long-term health and educational benefits, empowering the next generation to reach their full potential and pursue brighter futures.
