Educational Workshops
The founder of the Naina Project gave an inspiring presentation to her school as part of a class called Voice and Vision, shedding light on the critical issue of limited access to eye care in India. She shared powerful stories of children in rural areas who, due to poor vision and a lack of affordable eye care, struggle to keep up in school, often falling behind in their education. Highlighting the stark disparities between urban and rural communities, she explained how many children are unable to get basic eye exams or glasses, hindering their academic performance and future opportunities. With passion and determination, the founder emphasized the importance of providing vision care to these underserved populations, urging her classmates to recognize the profound impact that something as simple as a pair of eyeglasses could have on a child's ability to learn, grow, and succeed. Frames were collected as part of this seminar and were used in India.
