Did you know that millions of children in under-resourced communities struggle with poor eyesight simply because they can't afford glasses? Many don't even know their vision is the problem — a child who has always seen the world blurry doesn't know it's supposed to look any other way. We're working to change that, one student at a time.

Who We Are

The Naina Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free vision screenings and prescription eyeglasses to students in under-resourced communities. What began in 2024 as our founder Anoushka's middle school idea has grown into a real program: across our camps, we've now tested over 200 students and given many of them their first-ever pair of glasses, working with four partner schools in the Ranikhet region of India.

What Your Donation Does

We keep our model lean, so your donation goes straight to the students. Every dollar funds vision testing and prescription eyeglasses for a child who needs them.

• $6 can cover a screening and help a student on the path to clear vision.

• A larger gift provides prescription glasses, tailored and fitted, for a student who's been squinting at the blackboard their whole school life.

With your help, we can make sure no child is held back simply because no one ever checked their eyes.

Here's what it means to the students themselves. As Megha, a student at one of our partner schools, told us: "Thank you for doing this. You are helping a lot of students who are not aware about their eyes or don't have much money for a checkup. Once again, thank you."
