The Spark of an Idea
Anoushka conceived the Naina Project as a heartfelt middle school initiative, driven by her own experience with vision problems.

Building Our Foundation
Months of passionate planning, forging partnerships with local schools and opticians, and preparing for our very first eye camp.
Our First Steps
We started small but mighty! Testing 30 students at Mission Inter College - our inaugural eye camp that proved this idea could truly work.

Making it Official!
Applied for 501(c)(3) status to formalize our operations and unlock tax-deductible donations for our supporters.
Major Milestone Achieved
Our biggest impact yet - testing 117 students across both Mission Inter College and National Inter College. What an incredible week that was!

We're Official!
Officially received our 501(c)(3) status - the Naina Project is now a registered nonprofit organization!
New Partner Schools
We visited two more schools, Saraswati School and Girls Government Inter College, to talk with their principals about partnering with us. Both said yes on the spot, growing our network to four schools in Ranikhet.

Testing in Full Swing
We've completed testing at Mission, National, and Saraswati, with testing still ongoing at Girls Government Inter College. Three schools down, one to go.
From Dream to Reality
What started as Anoushka's middle school idea in 2024 has grown into an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit by 2025! We've successfully tested 200+ students and provided 70+ with life-changing prescription glasses, all while building incredible partnerships in the Ranikhet community. And we're just getting started!
